Get your house in order

And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the ashtaroth from among you, and direct your heart to the LORD, and serve HIM only, and HE will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.  1 Samuel 7:3 ESV

After the Israelites lamented, Samuel spoke to the house of Israel and told them if they returned to the LORD with all their hearts, and served God only HE would deliver them.

​And there it is!  Just what God desires.   Get your house in order.  No if ands or buts about it.  God is a jealous God.  There can be no one else before HIM.
